Tutorial "Happy New Year"

This tutorial was written by me on 18th December 2009. It was done with PSP9 but it might work with other versions, too. This tutorial is copyrighted to me, any resemblance is purely coincidental and not intentional!

You need: PTU tagger size kit "Happy New Year" by heavenDreams, which you can purchase on Scrap Wishes, a beautiful tube, I am using the gorgeous artwork of Ismael Rac, which you can purchase on ArtisticMindsInc

1. Open a new canvas 700x600px, flood fill with white, open HD_Happy_New_Year_element_50_tgs.png, resize 500px, copy and paste as new layer, add Dropshadow 1/1/60/4 #000000, repeat with -1/-1/60/4 #000000

2. Highlight white background layer, selection, custom selection, left 75/up 100/right 625/down 500, open HD_Happy_New_Year_paper08_tgs.jpg, resize 600px, copy and paste as new layer, selection invert, press delete, select none, add Dropshadow as above and repeat as above

3. Custom selection again, left 85/up 110/right 615/down 490, open HD_Happy_New_Year_paper03_tgs.jpg, resize 600px, copy and paste as new layer, selection invert, press delete, select none, add both Dropshadows

4. Open HD_Happy_New_Year_element_22_tgs.png, resize 400px, copy and paste as new layer, adjust - Hue/Saturation - Colorize 228/66, move it to the left and a little up so it is slightly beyond the frame, duplicate layer, image mirror, image flip, merge down, arrange this layer above the white background layer, add Dropshadow 1/1/40/4 #000000

5. Highlight purple rectangle layer, open HD_Happy_New_Year_element_59_tgs.png, resize 275px, image mirror, copy and paste as new layer, move it down to the right as you can see on my preview, duplicate layer, image mirror, image flip, merge down, add Dropshadow 1/1/40/4 #000000
6. Highlight top layer, open HD_Happy_New_Year_element_56_tgs.png, copy and paste as new layer, place it on the upper right corner of the frame, duplicate layer, image mirror, image flip, merge down, add Dropshadow 1/1/40/4 #000000

7. Open HD_Happy_New_Year_element_04_tgs.png, rotate 90 degrees left, resize 400px, copy and paste as new layer, move up to the right, duplicate layer, image mirror, image flip, add Dropshadow to both ribbons

8. Open HD_Happy_New_Year_element_79_tgs.png, resize 100px, adjust - sharpen, copy and paste as new layer, move it to the right and a little up, add Dropshadow, open HD_Happy_New_Year_element_52_tgs.png, resize 20%, copy and paste as new layer, free rotate 15 degrees right, adjust - sharpen, move it down to the right corner of the frame, add Dropshadow, open HD_Happy_New_Year_element_36_tgs.png, resize 25%, copy and paste as new layer and move it down to the right, place it on the right side of the other element, add Dropshadow

9. Open HD_Happy_New_Year_element_17_tgs.png, resize 35%, copy and paste as new layer, move down to the left, add Dropshadow, open HD_Happy_New_Year_element_51_tgs.png, resize 20%, copy and paste as new layer, free rotate 15 degrees left, adjust - sharpen, move down to the left, add Dropshadow, open HD_Happy_New_Year_element_15_tgs.png, resize 17%, copy and paste as new layer, free rotate 15 degrees left, move down to the left and place between the hat and the Champagne Cooler, add Dropshadow

10. Open HD_Happy_New_Year_element_19_tgs.png, resize 35%, copy and paste as new layer, free rotate 7 degrees left, adjust - sharpen, move it to the left and a little up, add Dropshadow, arrange this layer under the Champagne Cooler layer

11. Now open your tube, copy and paste as new layer, resize if needed and place as you wish

12. Open HD_Happy_New_Year_element_01_tgs.png, resize 36%, copy and paste as new layer, move it down, add Dropshadow, arrange this layer under the Cracker layer, so the strings are hidden

13. If you want you can add your name now, add copyright information and save your tag as .png or .jpg! Hopy you enjoyed my tutorial and this gorgeous New Year's kit!
