Tutorial "My Everything"

This tutorial was written by me on 28th December 2009. It was done with PSP9 but it might work with other versions, too. This tutorial is copyrighted to me, any resemblance is purely coincidental and not intentional!

You need: PTU tagger size kit "My Everything" by PolkaDotScraps, which you can purchase on Twilight Scraps, a beautiful tube, I am using the gorgeous artwork of Ismael Rac, which you can purchase on ArtisticMindsInc, template #306 by DivineIntentionz and masks gemsmask37.jpg and gemsmask-41.jpg by Gems Taggin' Scraps, Effects - Penta.Com - Color Dots

1. Open masks and template in PSP, with Shift D make a copy of the template, close the original, delete all layers except circle, dotted circle, glittered circle, small circle and medium circle, Image - Canvas Size - Width 668px/Height 600px - Placement Center, add new rasterlayer, arrange - send to bottom, flood fill with white

2. Select all, add new raster layer, open PDS_ME- paper16.jpg, copy and paste into selection, select none, layers - new mask layer - from image, load gemsmask-41.jpg, source luminance checked, merge group, move it down, duplicate layer, image mirror, image flip, merge down, set the opacity to 75

3. Select all, add new raster layer, paste paper PDS_ME- paper16.jpg into selection again, select none, layers, new mask layer, from image, load gemsmask37.jpg, source luminance checked, merge group

4. Custom Selection, Up 0/Left 334/Down 600/Right 668, press delete, select none, duplicate layer, image mirror, image flip, merge down

5. Highlight circle, select all, selection float, selection defloat, delete layer, open PDS_ME- paper14.jpg, copy and paste as new layer, selection invert, press delete, select none, add Dropshadow 3/3/35/3 #000000

6. Highlight dotted circle, select all, selection float, selection defloat, delete layer, open PDS_ME- paper4.jpg, copy and paste as new layer, selection invert, press delete, select none, add Dropshadow

7. Highlight medium circle, select all, selection float, selection defloat, delete layer, copy paper PDS_ME- paper16.jpg, paste as new layer, selection invert, press delete, select none, duplicate layer, image mirror, image flip, merge down, Effects - Penta.Com - Color Dot - Value 90/Distance 6/Color R,G,B = 255, add Dropshadow 3/3/35/3 #000000

8. Highlight glittered circle, select all, selection float, selection defloat, delete layer, copy paper PDS_ME- paper16.jpg, paste as new layer, selection invert, press delete, select none, duplicate layer, image mirror, image flip, merge down, add Dropshadow

9. Highlight small circle, select all, selection float, selection defloat, delete layer, open PDS_ME- paper14.jpg, copy and paste as new layer, selection invert, press delete, select none, duplicate layer, image mirror, image flip, merge down

10. Highlight top layer, open PDS_ME- frame3.png, resize 85%, copy and paste as new layer, with the magic wand tool click into it, selection, modify, expand 7px, open PDS_ME- paper15.jpg, copy and paste as new layer, selection invert, press delete, select none, arrange paper layer under the frame layer, highlight frame layer, add Dropshadow 3/3/35/3 #000000

11. Open PDS_ME- element42.png, resize 80%, rotate 90 degrees right, copy and paste as new layer, move it to the right, duplicate layer, image mirror, image flip, merge down, add Dropshadow12. Open PDS_ME- element11.png, resize 50%, copy and paste as new layer, free rotate 100 degrees left, move it onto the left upper corner of the frame, add Dropshadow

13. Open PDS_ME- element10.png, resize 50%, copy and paste as new layer, image mirror, move it up to the left, place it on element11, add Dropshadow

14. Open PDS_ME- element5.png, resize 65%, copy and paste as new layer, image mirror, free rotate 50 degrees right, move it to the left and a little down, add Dropshadow, open PDS_ME- element6.png, resize 65%, copy and paste as new layer, free rotate 50 degrees left, move it to the left and a little more down than the other heart, arrange this heart under the pink one, add Dropshadow15. Highlight top layer, open PDS_ME- element39.png, resize 50%, copy and paste as new layer, move it down to the left, add Dropshadow, open PDS_ME- element8.png, resize 40%, copy and paste as new layer, free rotate 15 degrees left, add Dropshadow, move it down to the left, place it as you can see on my preview, highlight envelope layer and with your freehand selection tool draw a selection around the knot of the bow, promote to layer, select none, arrange the promoted layer above the key layer16. Open PDS_ME- element31.png, resize 50%, copy and paste as new layer, image mirror, move to the right, with the magic wand tool click into all empty parts of it, selection, modify, expand 8px, open PDS_ME- paper14.jpg, copy and paste as new layer, selection invert, press delete, select none, arrange - move down, highlight heart element, add Dropshadow

17. Open PDS_ME- element46.png, resize 40%, copy and paste as new layer, image mirror, move it to the right and a little up, add Dropshadow

18. Open PDS_ME- element28.png, resize 40%, copy and paste as new layer, move it up and place it on top of the right ribbon, add Dropshadow, duplicate layer, move it down and place it on the right lower corner of the frame

19. Now open your tube, copy and paste as new layer, resize if needed, add Dropshadow 3/3/35/3 #000000 and place as you wish

You can write down your name and/or text now, add copyright information and save your tag as .png or .jpg! Have fun, I hope you enjoyed the tut!
