Tutorial "French Connection"

This tutorial was written by me on 26th February 2010. It was done with PSP9 but it might work with other versions, too. This tutorial is copyrighted to me, any resemblance is purely coincidental and not intentional!

You need: Just A Girls Designs Part of the French Connection Collab Kit only available on Twilight Scraps, a beautiful tube, I am using the wonderful artwork of LegendsArt which you can purchase at MPT and mask SaraLettersMask.jpg which you can download here (if this is yours please let me know and I will give you credit)

1. Open mask in PSP, open a new transparent canvas 650x650px, flood fill with white, add new rasterlayer, select all, open JAG-FrenchConnection-pp3.jpg, copy and paste into selection, select none, layers - new masklayer -from image, load SaraLettersMask.jpg, source luminance checked, merge group, resize 95% (resize all layers not checked)

2. Open JAG-FrenchConnection-Bistro Door.png, resize 450px, copy and paste as new layer, add Dropshadow 2/2/45/5 #000000, draw a rectangular selection around the "open" part of the door, open JAG-FrenchConnection-pp10.jpg, resize 450px, copy and paste as new layer, fit into selection, selection invert, press delete, select none, arrange, move down

3. Highlight top layer, open JAG-FrenchConnection-Clock.png, resize 35%, copy and paste as new layer, move it up to the left, add Dropshadow, open JAG-FrenchConnection-Eieffel Tower.png, resize 65%, copy and paste as new layer, move a little to the left, add Dropshadow

4. Open JAG-FrenchConnection-Umberella.png, resize 75%, copy and paste as new layer, free rotate 35 degrees left, move it down to the left, add Dropshadow, open JAG-FrenchConnection-corset.png, resize 35%, copy and paste as new layer, free rotate 15 degrees left, move down to the left, add Dropshadow

5. Open JAG-FrenchConnection-FabulousFifties-JAG-Poodle2.png, resize 35%, image mirror, copy and paste as new layer, move down, add Dropshadow

6. Open JAG-FrenchConnection-Cloud.png, image mirror, adjust - colorize 19/33, copy and paste as new layer, move it down to the right, arrange it above the umbrella and remove this part of the shaft of the umbrella which is behind the poodle, duplicate the cloud, image mirror, image flip, arrange the duplicate cloud above the group layer and lower the opacity as you wish

7. Open JAG-FrenchConnection-Feather.png, resize 50%, copy and paste as new layer, free rotate 10 degrees left, move to the right, arrange below the original cloud layer, add Dropshadow

8. Open your tube, copy and paste as new layer, resize and colorize if needed, place it as you wish, add Dropshadow 1/1/45/1 #000000, arrange the tube layer below the cloud but above the feather
